Description
PICK TOP 3 ONES which you think best fits Kai. Or pick your favourites I guess.
Weekly Friday submission. Doing it on time, woohoo.
In case you are interested in using a blank template for this: [link]
I suddenly had an interest in drawing many different faces of doing the same activity, and how each face can have either an obvious or subtle difference from another.
The topic for this one: responding to a greeting. I also felt like drawing different faces of Kai, even if it may be out of character. After all, Kai's been multiple people over the years I've been editing and improving his character.
The actual intention of this was to help me figure out how Kai is portrayed to viewers verses what I actually want him to be. This way I can be more focused on what I should draw next, what things are left out, what needs to be explained, etc. Hopefully you guys will help me out on this.
I originally started with 16 grids and it wasn't enough. Even now I'm pretty sure I've left out a lot of other possible faces.
This served as a pretty good practice of drawing a set of somewhat more dynamic expressions for Kai. I still have yet to figure out the 3D workings of his hair. His hair is a mystery.
I had pretty fun, productive time drawing this, all the while I expected myself to lose motivation and stop trying.
