<edit> no preivew option anymore? the pictures looks like a crappy ms painting when it's shrunk. I deleted my older one and submitted new one because I wanted a preview picture and it wouldn't let me. D:< Apparently either way didn't work. This stinks .-. ___________________________________
This is not my usual coloring style, and I just felt like trying out a new one. It's not exactly new, but I used different brush, and it works so much better than my older technic. So the quality might be a little low.
I've been keeping this drawing for a while, and primarily I was going to submit this as a traditional art, but I did not want to procrastinate improving my coloring.
Tried my best but I got a lot of things to still work on on this drawing. So if anyone has a good tip, that might help. Otherwise I will be stuck in my odd lighting coloring. Majority of coloring parts were new to me, like the horns and the abstractically shaped helmet, so, I hope nobody's going to go overly critical about this ):
anyway this is a scene when Veo becomes a new king, and that helmet represents great power. Note: He does not wear that 24/7 xD the helmet can shapeshift to a smaller version, which he would wear occasionally, but he would only wear the full version in certain occasions, otherwise he would look goofy with it, at certain times.
I might continue with this coloring because it allows me certain types of coloring I need. Hopefully I will be able to maintain my original style if this is not too different.

I believe the preview-system has became slightly strict. I have seen several artists try to apply previews on images that does not require previews and failed, heh heh. But I might be wrong.
At glace, the preview does not seem very troublesome. Unless it worries you that the face-details appear slightly "out of place" in thumbnail, meh.
Speaking of which, I really like all the details on the face, the color style seems to fit very well for this type of lighting. I am impressed with your control over amount of light from two different sources; back-light and the fire. It's cool that you used right amount of shading to distinguish them without making the fire appear opaque. [which would be quite strange]. The style you applied on the fire interests me...I have attempted to use swirly-lines to depict a fire, but it never looks as flowy as you have drawn here.
very cool experimental drawing. Veo rarely seems to appear "happy", but it looks like something is making him smile here. Heh.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
